Major WWE superstar hits out at Gareth Southgate over player who's been left out of England squad

Jack Butland's omission from the England squad has angered supporters of Glasgow Rangers, and Drew McIntyre is the latest to have his say.  

The English goalkeeper has been outstanding since heading to Ibrox and his recent good form made him a potential choice to be backup to Jordan Pickford at Euro 2024. 

Gareth Southgate has gone in a different direction with Aaron Ramsdale and James Trafford his preferred options.  

McIntyre, currently focusing on WWE WrestleMania next month, took time away from preparing from his imminent showdown with Seth Rollins to discuss the matter. 

"They're idiots for leaving him out of the squad. He is, along with the captain Tav, our best player,” said McIntyre when speaking to That’s Football. 

"We’ve been searching for such a long time to replace Allan McGregor in goal. We tried multiple keepers, and then had to bring McGregor back, but finally with Butland - he is the man.”
