Who should Claressa Shields face next after Maricela Cornejo win?

Following her unanimous decision win over Maricela Cornejo this past weekend, there are two names Claressa Shields should look to face next, Shadashia Green and undisputed women's super middleweight champion Franchon Crews Dezurn.

Those are the views of Ak and Barak who discussed Shields' future on The DAZN Boxing Show. 

"There is a fight out there I would like to see Claressa take and that’s Shadasia Green," Ak said. 

"We talk about talent and skillwise, I think she is seeking for that big opportunity, that big fight, for that legacy opponent.

"Claressa, she’s done so much in this sport, she’s fighting in the PFL, she’s been open to WWE if they give her a call, she’s becoming a star.

"She is still searching for that fight, that elite opponent that’s going to give her a real challenge."

A clash with Green is also one that Barak is eager to see. 

"She shows a lot of skill. I’ve been in camp with Shadasia Green, she punches extremely hard," Barak began.

"Some say Savannah Marshall punches hard too, she got a lot of knockouts as well and Claressa was able to take her shots and make her miss. So that’s probably that fight we need to see."

In addition to Green, Barak expressed his desire to see Shields try and become an undisputed champion in a third weight class. 

"But a third undisputed title she can at least try for at 168lbs is fighting her very good friend, almost her sister, Franchon Crews who she fought early in her career.

"Obviously they’re both better, they’re both seasoned and that would be a great fight with the winner fighting Shadasia Green."
