Tommy Fury labels two major world champions 'embarrassing' ahead of huge Darren Till clash

The Jake Paul hysteria has continued long after his recent win over Mike Tyson with numerous high-profile boxers expressing an interest in facing him.

Last week, Paul was forced to go the eight-round distance against the 58-year-old New Yorker, but he was given the verdict by wide margins on the scorecards.

In the immediate aftermath of the contest, Paul’s name continued to be highly sought after as Artur Beterbiev, Carl Froch, and Daniel Dubois all seemingly demonstrated an interest in securing a fight in 2025.

Perhaps the most shocking name on the list of potential Paul opponents is Dubois who’s now one of the biggest names in boxing.

Back in September, Dubois caused one of the biggest shocks of 2024 when he retained his IBF heavyweight crown with a fifth-round stoppage of Anthony Joshua.

The heavy-handed Londoner has been linked to huge fights including rematches in 2025 against both Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk, but he’s received criticism from Tommy Fury for wishing to take on Paul.

“You’ve got to be realistic. Paul isn’t fighting Dubois or anyone like that. You’ve got legitimate world champions of the sport, calling him [Paul] out,” said Fury, who faces Darren Till, live on DAZN on January 18, when speaking to The Express .

“It made sense for me because I was at the start of my career, and I would have been fighting journeymen anyway.

“If I was an undisputed unified champion, I wouldn’t give a f--k about Jake Paul. I think it’s a bit embarrassing on [Dubois and Beterbiev's] part. I don’t know what Dubois is doing. The fact he even thinks I’m gonna put it out there because he might bite.”
