Leading heavyweight star reveals amazing pre-fight superstition

Zhilei Zhang is looking to land another huge fight after stopping Deontay Wilder in impressive fashion earlier this summer.  

Zhang was too powerful for the heavy-handed American and victory for the Chinese star means he’s in the frame for numerous high-profile battles. 

Despite a loss to Joseph Parker earlier this year, Zhang is still in a confident mood as he looks to either face Parker in a rematch or land a world title fight.  

Zhang is seen as one of the division's biggest threats, and he’s revealed a strange pre-fight superstition before he heads into combat. 

“I try to shave my hair and beard the day before a fight to look sharp,” said Zhang when speaking to Razed. 

“Other than that, I don’t have any particular superstitions, but I like to wear golden underwear at the fight night, it has to be golden all the way.”
