'A hundred percent!' - Lauren Price ready for undisputed challenge against Mikaela Mayer

Lauren Price has responded to Mikaela Mayer's demands for an undisputed battle, with the Welsh star "a hundred percent" up for a bout with the American.

Mayer defeated rival Sandy Ryan for the second time in Las Vegas on Saturday by unanimous decision, to retain the WBO welterweight title on the scorecards.

Atferwards, the star called for a bout with Price, who holds the other three major belts in the division after defeating Natasha Jonas in London earlier in March.

Talking to Sky Sports News, the former Tokyo 2020 gold medalist replied that she would be delighted to take on Mayer, as she looks to complete a clean sweep.

"Let's get it on," she said. "I'm obviously unified world champion, and after I beat Jonas, I [said I] wanted the winner of Mayer and Sandy.

"I watched the fight. [It was a] great fight. I thought Mayer won [it] very well. What a fight to make. I'm up for it, a hundred percent."

Mayer, whose bitter rivalry with Ryan looks to have been settled conclusively, performed impressively under the bright lights of Las Vegas to defend her title.

Speaking afterwards, the American sought to close the book on her battle with the Briton, suggesting her two wins means that Price needs to be her next foe.

"I wanted to give Sandy the rematch because it was a great fight," Mayer said. "I believe a rematch should happen when the fans want it.

"We did that, but I beat Sandy twice. Now, it's time for me to move on and go for undisputed, which is against Lauren Price."
