Terence Crawford vs. Israil Madrimov: Shawn Porter makes his prediction

Terence Crawford finally returns to the ring for the first time since his win over Errol Spence later this year when he takes on WBA light middleweight champion Israil Madrimov. 

The pair will meet in Los Angeles on August 3 with Crawford attempting to become a world champion in a fourth weight division. 

One of Crawford's past opponents, Shawn Porter, has made his prediction for the contest and is confident that "Bud" will be able to cope with the threat which Madrimov poses. 

“My first time looking at it was just this morning. I watched some Madrimov, I think, that Terence, it always takes you a couple of rounds to see what these guys bring to you. I expect to see Madrimov in your face. I expect the stick to come out from Crawford," Porter told DAZN at Wednesday's launch press conference. 

“I expect him to start the fight orthodox. I think this is going to be a fun fight, you’re going to have your hands full, but I think you will handle it, you always handle it. Some people are born to do what they do and this kid is born to do what he does.”

Crawford's clash with Madrimov headlines a stacked card which includes Vergil Ortiz Jr against Tim Tsyzu and the return of former unified heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr.
