Jake Paul is set to have his hands full this weekend when he tackles Mike Tyson in one of the biggest fights of 2024. Despite facing a significant test on Friday (November 15), Paul is already planning ahead, and he’s revealed the fighter he wants to challenge after the Tyson fight is out the way. Paul has always been linked to big names since beginning his boxing journey and as well as Tyson, he’s also been involved in contests with Tyron Woodley and Tommy Fury. With Tyson set be his next opponent, Paul has stated that he would like to fight Canelo, and that’s the bout he’ll be targeting.

Canelo’s next move is still unconfirmed, but the Mexican icon has enjoyed a brilliant 2024 after securing victories against Jaime Munguia and Edgar Berlanga. The current super-middleweight ruler is one of boxing’s biggest attractions and his name has been speculated to be going after fighters such as Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol at 175lbs. If Canelo wants to jump higher in weight and land himself another huge payday then Paul could be the fight to take, and the popular YouTuber has revealed he’d be willing to take the fight. “No, I mean I do (have something in mind for after Tyson), it’s Canelo,” said Paul when speaking on the Timbo and Sugar Show. “I mean, this moment will prove that I’m the face of boxing, the largest attraction, and me vs Canelo at 200lbs for the cruiserweight championship of the world is the biggest fight arguably even bigger than me vs Tyson and it makes so much sense. “You know, Canelo’s on his way out, he’s gonna want a payday and I want to show the world that all the s--t I’ve been talking about beating Canelo is true and I’ll have the biggest upset in the sport of boxing, and we’ll fight to see who really is the face of boxing, I’m gonna be the new money man.”
