'I'm blessed to have him on this card' - Jaron Ennis heaps the praise on co-headliner Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez

IBF welterweight champion Jaron Ennis is excited to see WBC super flyweight champion Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez in action come Saturday night, live on DAZN. 

The two world champions top what should be an exciting fight card in Philadelphia with Rodriguez set to face Pedro Guevara.

Rodriguez will be making the first defence of his title after knocking out Juan Francisco Estrada earlier this year which continued to cement his status as one of the world's best pound-for-pound fighters.

A win over Guevara is paramount for Rodriguez if he wants to set up a huge 2025 where he is looking to become the undisputed title holder at super flyweight before moving up to higher weight classes. 

Speaking to DAZN's Off the Cuff, Ennis praised his fellow American and is expecting him to kickstart what should be a thrilling co-main and main event. 

"It’s amazing to have ‘Bam’ on this card, top five pound-for-pound," Ennis said.

"He’s doing his thing in multiple weight divisions, going up and down.

"I’m blessed to have him on this card, this show is going to be crazy. He’s going to start it off and I’m going to finish it."

Ennis is once again headlining a card in his home city with Karen Chukhadzhian in a rematch of their 2023 meeting which was won by the former via unanimous decision.
