Francis Ngannou gives update on boxing career following knockout loss to Anthony Joshua

Francis Ngannou expects to continue his boxing career despite being knocked out by Anthony Joshua on Friday night.

The pair met in Riyadh in what was Ngannou's second fight as a professional boxer, and the Cameroonian was on the wrong end of a second-round knockout after being knocked down three times by Joshua.

While this one-sided loss would be enough for a number of fighters to call time on their careers in boxing, Ngannou insisted that he will still continue his career in the sport despite being comprehensively beaten by the two-time world heavyweight champion.

"You can be sure I'm not done here. It wasn't my day. He was way better than me," Ngannou told Sky Sports.

"It sucks but it's the game. We all know that."

Ahead of the meeting with Joshua, Ngannou expressed his desire to face Deontay Wilder before he retires from boxing, and with both men suffering defeats in their most recent fights, now could be the perfect time to make the matchup.
