Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez vs. Chris Billam-Smith: Both fighters exude confidence ahead of title unification bout

Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez and Chris Billam-Smith are on the ground in Riyadh ahead of this weekend's cruiserweight title unification fight, live and free worldwide on DAZN.

Ramirez is the WBA cruiserweight champion and Billam-Smith holds the WBO title, and both men are looking to leave Saudi Arabia with both belts in tow as they hope to continue their quest for undisputed status.

On Tuesday, the fighters made their entrances for the Grand Arrivals and each exuded confidence just days ahead of their big showdown.

For Billam-Smith, he believes he has too many factors in his favour to lose.

"I just think all my advantages will play to my strengths in that sense because the way I fight, the intensity I fight at, the strength I've got, the workrate I've got, the power, the speed — all of that will be too much for him," Billam-Smith said.

Meanwhile, Zurdo says he feels "comfortable" in both his skillset and his physique.

"I'm a big guy, and I'm strong and I think I have a lot of skills," he said. "The bodyweight is really comfortable to be here, I'm walking [around at] like 210, 215 [pounds] and ... it's easy for me to make weight."

As for his strategy against Billaim-Smith on Saturday, it's very simple.

"Throw a lot of punches and that's it," Zurdo said.
