Eddie Hearn makes his prediction on potential Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk clash

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk could meet at the end of 2022.

Eddie Hearn has backed Oleksandr Usyk to defeat Tyson Fury if the pair clash in an undisputed heavyweight title fight later this year.

Hearn was ringside in Saudi Arbia last weekend as he watched Usyk retain his crown with a deserved points victory over Anthony Joshua and the attention has now flipped for another Middle East showdown against Fury.

Despite making several retirement announcements in 2022, Fury is expected to reverse his intentions to walk away from boxing and face Usyk either late this year or in early 2023.

The fight will see all four heavyweight titles on the line for the first time, and Hearn believes that Usyk’s brilliance will see him claim victory.

“I would favour Oleksandr Usyk in that fight,” said Hearn when speaking on The DAZN Boxing Show.

“I just think he’s so good. They’re both very intelligent fighters. It’s actually not a very good fight to watch but it’s an intriguing fight to watch. Tyson Fury doesn’t want to fight Usyk, but he may have to because the money is so big.”
